The focus this week was on Mathematics where the students reviewed the formulae for calculating area and perimeter of square, rectangle and triangle and also applied their knowledge of decimal notation to this concept. They identified different types of angles and constructed as well as measured them with the help of a protractor. They also enjoyed drawing graphs and interpreted data from the pie charts. Students involved in the Math activities Hindi - Students revised grammar concepts of Hindi Manak Vartni and they made sentences out of it. Spanish – In their Spanish lessons students recapitulated "AR and ER" ending verbs. They conjugated these verbs and used them to complete sentences. In their French classes students have revised the conjugations of 'er' ending verbs. They enjoyed playing online games based on conjugations of verbs. ICT - Students revised their understanding of computer fundamentals and internet basics through Kahoot quizzes. During the art lessons students practiced clay modelling to create murals. In their dance classes students reflected on the PYP exhibition along with the basic flexibility and core workouts. They also danced on a freestyle track. The students of grade 5 enjoyed their transition day to prepare for moving on to MYP with a lot of enthusiasm and celebrated this special day with joy.
